Westside Businesses Honor TWO Birthdays

Frank Pesqueira, long-time proprietor of the beloved Grande Tortilla factory, is shown here at the 2009 dedication of a mural featuring his likeness. The mural is behind the Tucson Water building; the dedication was part of the 2009 Tucson's Birthday celebration.

Don Pesqueira would have turned 100 on August 18, 2010. In his honor, his son Art, a member of the Board of Tucson's Birthday Planners, Inc., delivered birthday cakes to the west side businesses and institutions whose leaders, owners and their families have served the west side, Barrio Menlo Park and Barrio Hollywood for generations.
